CARBON FOOTPRINT This post was going to be about my excitement at our upcoming trip to Hawaii and how it wasn't a business trip and about how much business travel I've been doing this year. And then I started to think about all of the travel and what that carbon footprint might look like. Earlier in the week I'd joked that my travel carbon foot might be Godzilla in size. Unfortunately, I wasn't far from wrong. With the help of a flight calculator at Carbon Footprint, I determined that my flights gifted the earth with approximately 10.371 tonnes of CO2 in 2007. While I can do more next year to try and reduce that figure, I've offset this year's damage with a £74.45 pledge for the Reforestation in the Great Rift Valley, Kenya. My challenge to you? If you've been a frequent flyer this year, calculate the damage and give back a little to mother Earth. 11/ 8/2007
