NO. 1 I don't like surprises, especially when it comes to airline food. My desire for a vegetarian meal had somehow fallen from the Kuala Lumpur to Hong Kong leg of my recent travels (thank you Cathay Pacific). Faced with the likelihood of "chicken or fish?," neither of which I am a fan, I decided to take a walk to see what the airport had to offer. A dubiously drippy sandwich in a shop display case prompted the following exchange: me: "Is that a cheese sandwich?" him: "Yes, mam." me: "What kind of cheese is it?" him: [confused look, wanders to the back, queries coworkers, laughter and conversation ensuses, eventually returns] "Number 1 cheese, mam!" 09/ 5/2007
