Sunday's hobble around Haight Steet began with a salute to Eve in the courtyard. Eve is very much a muse -- Eve I, Pinhole, Eve II, Pinhole, Eve, Cubs fan, Pinhole and Eve VI.

I remembered my mother trying to bribe Claire and I with a shiny plastic umbrellas. If we were able to abstain from picking our chicken pox scabs, they would be ours. We did our best though I sill have a small scar to the left of my right eyebrow.

While still heavy within the throws of shingles, I bought myself a premature get well present, a Canon EF 24mm f/2.8 lens. We're still getting acquainted, but it was love at first site.
