Powell Station III, Market Street   [Pinhole]   comment on Powell Station III, Market Street   send as Ecard   Next: Autumn Moon Festival, Grant Street

Zero Image 50mm 4 x 5 pinhole with Polaroid Type 59 film (expired), 10 second exposure.

The streets of San Francisco might seem devoid of life, but given the long exposure, people passing through the camera's frame didn't register.

While watching the Stargate season finales (not too shabby) last night, I got my act together and constructed a drying box for my Polaroid film. There's room for fifteen photos.

I've been using bulldog clips to attach my photos to the outside of a brown grocery bag, but it meant that their somewhat sticky, wet surfaces were open to the elements for dust, etc. It's not the most beautiful thing on the planet, but it should serve the purpose.

A downside of squirreling prints away is that my bulldog method enabled the curious to get a better idea of what the black box on the tripod is all about and serves as a converation starter.* I might clip a few of my older efforts to outside for this purpose.

*Not that people on Market Street need an invitation.
